Thing to do in Hoi An

Get lost in the Old Town

Merchants from China, Japan, and later Europe settled in Hoi An from the 15th to the 19th centuries, creating a unique architectural fusion. Bring your camera as you stroll across the Japanese Bridge, visit the Tan Ky ancestral house, and explore the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall.

Treat your taste buds

Dining in Hoi An is pure pleasure. Farms and fishing boats contribute just-picked vegetables, seafood, herbs and fruit to the markets daily. Three quintessential Hoi An dishes are Cao Lau, Hoanh Thanh, and white rose dumplings.

Cycle in the countryside

Sunrise in Hoi An is the perfect time to grab your hat and hop on a bike. With a bit of luck, you’ll find yourself surrounded by lush green fields, with water buffalo flicking their tails. In areas like Cam Thanh and Tra Que, you’ll pass vegetable farms and ponds framed by tall, swaying palm trees.

Hit the beach

An Bang Beach, located just a 10-minute drive from the Ancient Town, offers a relaxing escape with fresh seafood lunches, wide sandy stretches, and refreshing waves. Bring your books, beach blankets, and bikinis to enjoy the sun, or take a boat ride to the untouched shores of the Cham Islands.

Marvel at My Son

My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site located 40 kilometers from Hoi An, is nestled in a valley near a peaceful stream. These ancient temples, constructed by the Cham people, date from the 7th to the 13th century, offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region

Top thing to do in Nha Trang

Go beach-hunting

During the day, Nha Trang Beach is bustling with sunbathers. Just a few kilometers south, Long Beach offers a collection of local seafood eateries and popular surfing spots. For a more adventurous exploration, rent a motorbike and head to Dốc Lết or Đại Lãnh beaches, where you can enjoy more secluded and tranquil coastal views.

Try a mud bath

Nha Trang is home to a unique combination of wellness attractions: mud baths and hot springs. Nestled in the hills just north of the city, several spa-like resorts offer the chance to soak in therapeutic warm mud pools, followed by a relaxing dip in natural hot mineral water, offering a rejuvenating experience for both body and mind.

Get on the water

Day-long island excursions in Nha Trang Bay take you on a tour of nearby small islands, including Monkey Island, Hòn Mun Island, and Yến Island. These islands boast pristine, untouched shores, offering a tranquil escape surrounded by natural beauty and crystal-clear waters.

Visit pagodas and palaces

Long Sơn Pagoda, with its impressive 78-foot-tall Buddha statue, is a must-visit landmark in Nha Trang. Also worth exploring are the ancient Po Nagar Cham Towers, which stand as a testament to the area’s rich cultural history. For a more off-the-beaten-path experience, head to the Bảo Đại Villa south of Nha Trang, a site that offers further insight into the region’s past.

Join the party

Nha Trang is a city that thrives day and night, but its nightlife is where the real energy kicks in. International artists and DJs light up the beachfront venues like Sailing Club and Skylight, creating unforgettable parties. The fun doesn’t stop there, as lively bars and clubs around the town keep the vibrant atmosphere going until the early hours, ensuring the city’s night scene is as exciting as its daytime adventures.
